Berichtenbox 3.0.10

The Berichtenbox application can only be used in conjunction with the DigiD app. It is necessary to have the DigiD app installed on the same device, as the user’s DigiD PIN is required to open the Berichtenbox app.

With this application, users gain access to the inbox, archive, and trash folder of their Berichtenbox on MijnOverheid. It enables reading messages and moving them to the archive or trash. If a message includes attachments, users can forward, save, or open these attachments in other apps. The app also displays which new organizations are utilizing the Berichtenbox system and allows users to specify whether these organizations may send digital correspondence. Currently, it is not possible to modify preferences for organizations already connected; such settings can only be adjusted via login on de website mijn.overheid.nl.

DATA PROCESSING & PRIVACY

When using the Berichtenbox app from MijnOverheid, certain personal data are processed. During login, your BSN (Citizen Service Number) is transmitted via DigiD to MijnOverheid. To display data from your MijnOverheid account within the Berichtenbox app, notification tokens, user tokens, and encryption tokens are utilized.

By using the Berichtenbox app, you agree to this data processing, which is also governed by the following provisions:

• Your personal data are processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the privacy statement on MijnOverheid's website (mijn.overheid.nl/privacy). Rules concerning data processing by MijnOverheid are outlined in the Decision on processing personal data in the generic digital infrastructure.
• Security measures akin to those on the MijnOverheid website safeguard your personal data. These measures include technical and organizational protections against loss or unlawful processing.
• The Berichtenbox app complies with security standards comparable to those implemented on the MijnOverheid website. Additionally, it leverages security mechanisms inherent in the device's operating system.
• The user bears responsibility for securing their mobile device against unauthorized access.
• Periodically, updates for the Berichtenbox app may be downloaded and installed through the app store. These updates aim to improve functionality, introduce new features, resolve bugs, or provide entirely new versions. Failure to install these updates may impair or prevent proper operation of the app.
• MijnOverheid (a division of Logius) reserves the right to suspend or terminate the availability of the Berichtenbox app in the app store or its functionality temporarily or permanently without prior notice.
